Women and men have unique and important roles to play in addressing inequities in access to services and opportunities to participate actively in transforming their societies.

IREX engages women, men, and youth in thoughtful discussions about gender in their communities, builds skills and provides resources to promote gender equality and female empowerment, and addresses gender within its organizational policies and throughout design, implementation and evaluation of all programs.

IREX's programs include leadership gender-awareness training for youth and community leaders, technology literacy for women and girls, gender-sensitive reporting, and strengthening organizations that promote gender equality, combat gender-based violence, prevent human trafficking and advance LGBT rights.
