Violeta is the Director of the Creating Content Connections Project in Moldova. 

Violeta joined IREX in Moldova in 2013 working with the Novateca program where she designed and managed impactful capacity building initiatives for librarians’ national and regional networks to deliver efficient services and programs to meet community needs, facilitated partnerships with key library stakeholders and interested partners, and supported overall program management and implementation. 

Prior to joining Novateca, Violeta worked as a communications specialist with the United Nations in Moldova supporting  communications and awareness raising efforts for HIV/AIDS prevention and promotion of gender equality and women’s empowerment principles to the general public and specific target audiences.  She led the capacity building of mass media institutions regarding gender sensitive development of media products, using gender self-assessment, and organized local and national campaigns to raise awareness on gender equality, women’s empowerment, prevention of violence against women and girls and on stigma and discrimination against people living with HIV. 

Violeta has a bachelor’s degree in international relations and economics.
