Kasun Jayatilake is the program Assistant for the Media Empowerment for a Democratic Sri Lanka (MEND) program, aimed at improving citizens' access to balanced, reliable, and objective news and information in Sri Lanka.

In his role he is engaged in implementing the Learn to Discern media literacy program in Sri Lanka.  

Kasun is fluent in English and Sinhala. He holds a bachelor of science in international development from the University of London. He holds a post graduate diploma in development studies from the University of Colombo. He holds a master's in development studies from the University of Colombo and is currently pursuing a post-graduate diploma in international relations from Bandaranayake Center for International Studies.
