Isabella Chaney works as a program coordinator for a number of projects across IREX's  Communities and Governance Practice and Information and Media Practice. She provides editorial and administrative support at critical programmatic moments and supports day-to-day operations.

Before joining IREX, Isabella participated in the Russian Language Flagship Capstone and spent a year studying at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University in Almaty, Kazakhstan. While in Kazakhstan, she worked as an intern with USAID’s Future Growth Initiative, a program designed to increase local economic competitiveness in Central Asia, create new jobs, and improve incomes for Central Asia’s growing workforce.

Isabella holds a bachelor of arts in Russian and international studies from Bryn Mawr College. At Bryn Mawr, she received the George Klein Fellowship and the Elinor Nahm Prize in Russian language and linguistics. Isabella speaks Russian and Spanish.
