Whitney Hough is a Senior Program Officer for Teacher Exchange Programs and Fulbright Teacher Exchange Programs at IREX.
Prior to joining IREX, Whitney worked for The N.U.in Program at Northeastern University, where she coordinated intercultural exchange programs for first-semester university students and developed international service-learning programming across Australia, Costa Rica, Ireland, Greece, and the UK. Previously, Whitney worked with the Global Coalition to Protect Education from Attack (GCPEA) on initiatives to protect teachers and students in conflict-affected areas. Her professional experience also includes service with AmeriCorps in Minneapolis public high schools, where she designed and implemented curricula related to civic engagement, social justice, and human rights.
Whitney has a Master’s in Conflict, Security and Development from the University of Bradford UK, and a Bachelor’s in Psychology and Cross Cultural Studies from Carleton College.
