At the Jordan River Foundation (JRF), Wala’a Akrabawi provides technical assistance to programs that seek to increase the economic opportunities of under-privileged Jordanians, particularly women. While in the U.S., Akrabawi worked for the Women Entrepreneurs of Baltimore, Maryland, assisting the organization in monitoring and evaluating the effects of its employment and entrepreneurial trainings. Upon returning to Jordan, Akrabawi worked to inform the strategic approach of JRF by collecting evidence of effective programs around the world and providing subsequent policy recommendations for the organization.
