As a Project Manager at the Bulgarian Gender Research Foundation, Tania Tisheva performs research and manages projects on gender equality, youth development, gender-based violence, and human trafficking. She also has experience in the areas of health advocacy and job placement programming. While in the U.S., Tisheva served as a fellow at The Advocates for Human Rights in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where she strengthened her skills in research and advocacy in countering violence and issues of women’s rights. She was involved in the preparation of trainings for the Balkan countries and in translating and summarizing thematic articles on women’s rights and NGO reports to the UN bodies. Following the Community Solutions Program, Tisheva started a project that protects the rights of women acting as caregivers for the elderly in Bulgaria.
