Shanker Yogaratnarajah is the finance, administration and operations manager for the MEND Program in Sri Lanka, responsible for overall financial management, financial planning, and grant administration.

In this role, Shanker is responsible for providing guidance to the program team on the potential financial impact of intended activities; monitoring the MEND pipeline, advising anticipated problems with financial issues (low burn rate, overspending, etc.) and is the primary authority on subgrantee compliance. In addition, he is responsible for overall operations of the country office such as office management, human resource management, logistical operations, and procurement services of the Colombo office.

Shanker has forty years of experience in providing superior financial management leadership to non-profit and for-profit organizations. Prior to joining IREX, Shanker worked in similar capacity at various USAID funded programs such as, Strengthening Democratic Governance and Accountability Project (SDGAP), Support for Professional and Institutional Capacity Enhancement (SPICE) program, Supporting Regional Governance (SuRG) program, and Peace Support Program (PSP). All of these programs were operated in Sri Lanka under different implementing partners.
