Savina Sirik is Director of the Museum of Memory, one of the three pillars at the Sleuk Rith Institute, the permanent center of the Documentation Center of Cambodia (DC-Cam) which continues the efforts of preserving the memory of past atrocities, contributing to justice, and promoting healing. She worked as a Team Leader for the Living Documents project at DC-Cam. She is also currently pursuing a master’s degree in geography at Kent State University. During her fellowship in the U.S., Sirik worked with the League of Women Voters of California in San Francisco on a variety of voter education projects. Upon returning to Cambodia, Sirik focused her work with the Documentation Center of Cambodia on engaging women in the Khmer Rouge tribunals in order to foster a greater role for rural women in Cambodia.
