Sabine Berzina is a program associate for the Media literacy in the Baltics program. She is responsible for the content adaptation of the program’s online media literacy course – Very Verified Baltics.
Prior to working at IREX, Sabine worked as a journalist for six years. She has experience with public television and radio, print media, and online media. Most recently she worked as a misinformation reporter and a fact-checker, where she monitored and analyzed the pandemic-driven spread of conspiracy theories and false information in Latvia.
Sabine has a joint master’s degree in journalism, media and globalization from the University of Amsterdam and Aarhus University. She speaks Latvian and English.
