As a Co-Founder for Gate of Sun, Rawan Altakriti has experience in cultural management and developing civic capacity-building initiatives through expanding peacebuilding methods to include art and culture. For her follow-on project in Syria, Rawan plans to enhance the collaboration between the civil society sector and artists by establishing a virtual cultural network that focuses on peacebuilding through art and artistic entrepreneurship.

Rawan will be placed at Build a Bridge International in Philadelphia, PA to learn methodologies and participate in designing and implementing projects.
