As the Executive Director of Green Governance Zimbabwe Trust, Nyasha Frank Mpahlo oversees the development of projects, overall management, and supervising of projects to ensure that planned activities contribute to the overall objectives and goal. While in the U.S., Mpahlo worked with Environmental Lawyers Institute in Washington D.C., where he contributed to the Environmental Transparency Series, the development of the Liberia Forestry Enforcement Handbook, and wrote blogs for the ELI Blog. Since his return to Zimbabwe, Mpahlo has focused his efforts on mining for Sustainable Development (MS4D) to contribute towards the rights of small-scale and artisanal miners in Zimbabwe, the Youth Action for Climate Change (YACC) which improves the capacity of youth people to become environmental governance leaders within their communities, and supporting Artisanal and Small-Scale Mining (ASM) communities during COVID-19 to promote awareness of mining communities of the impact of COVID-19 and how they can adhere to social distancing and relevant regulations to mitigate the infection and spread of the disease.
