As an Instructor for Local Environmental Initiatives, Nour educates college students about nutrition, functional food and environmental issues regarding water, electricity and sanitary conditions. Nour is an expert in teaching health-related subjects including preventive nutrition and nutrition therapy, and has developed skills in community organizing and communicating with people of different ages and backgrounds. During her fellowship in the United States, Nour hopes to learn about the latest developments in food and nutritional alternatives during crises, as well as how to manage water resources and solutions for people in need during conflicts. Nour also hopes to develop her skills in making decisions under pressure and within a limited time frame, as well as organizational management skills. Upon returning from the Community Solutions Program, Nour plans to organize awareness campaigns to encourage people to stop excessive consumption of resources and educate them about healthy food choices.
