As the Advocacy and Community Liaison Officer for Radio Dialogue, Nothando Mpofu concentrates on involving women in community radio and society at large, ensuring that they are architects of their livelihoods and are included in national processes. She plans and coordinates community activities as well as assesses the impact they have on the community. While in the U.S., Mpofu worked at the Women’s Resource Center at Georgia Tech University, where she collaborated with peer educators on a sexual violence prevention program that sought to reduce sexual violence on campus. Upon her return to Zimbabwe, Mpofu plans to focus on creating a culture of respect and equality on the campus of the National University of Science and Technology through sexual violence prevention and advocacy.
