Monica is a program associate for the Information and Media Practice where she works on the Media for Transparent and Accountable Governance (M-TAG) program, Learn to Discern in Schools (L2D-S), the Georgian Media Partnership Program (GMPP), the Ukraine Media Partnership Program (UMPP), and the Strengthening Media Systems (SMS) project.

Prior to becoming a program associate, Monica worked as an intern at the Aspen Institute supporting the Stevens Initiative, an international effort to build global competence for young people in the United States and the Middle East and North Africa through virtual exchange.

Monica earned her MA in global communication from George Washington University’s Elliott School of International Affairs. She also holds a BA in international studies and German from the University of Kentucky.
