Linh Phuong Nguyen has been the Director of the Research Center for Management and Sustainable Development (MSD) since 2009. She has more than 10 years of experience working in the civil society and small and medium enterprises (SME) development sectors as a leader, trainer, consultant, and researcher, specializing in capacity building, strategic organizational development, resource mobilization for CSOs and SMEs, human rights education and advocacy, and expanding the role and voice of Vietnamese CSOs. With MSD, she was elected the general coordinator of the Action for CSO Development Alliance (CSA Vietnam) – an alliance of Vietnamese CSOs which advocates for and promotes an enabling environment for the development of Vietnamese CSOs. As a CSP Fellow, Nguyen worked at United Way Worldwide in Alexandria, Virginia, where she gained a better understanding of effective strategies for doing public policy advocacy and promoting transparency and accountability for CSOs. Now that she has completed the Community Solutions Program, Nguyen is continuing to promote greater transparency in the civil society sector with the initiative of technology and social media application.
