As the Capacity Building Coordinator for KAMEDA Public Foundation, Konstantin Kovtunets has coordinated and conducted a variety of trainings for NGOs in Kazakhstan. During his time in the U.S., Kovtunets worked with the Philadelphia Association of Community Development Corporations (PACDC) in Pennsylvania, where he assisted PACDC with the development of its new strategic plan, created assessment tools to measure the effects of the organization’s work, and conducted research on public policy formation in the U.S. Upon returning to Kazakhstan, Kovtunets began the process of founding an Almaty-based research institution that seeks to inform the government’s approach to social policies.
