As an official staff member of the Department of Welfare for Persons with Disabilities, Keorithea Um has experience ensuring provision of the Cambodian welfare system to persons with disabilities (PwDs), including seeing that PwDs have equal opportunities to fully participate in their communities. For her CSP Practicum, Keorithea was placed at Disability Rights Louisiana in New Orleans, Louisiana where she conducted grant research and support outreach. For her follow-on project in Cambodia, Keorithea plans to provide one-stop services at the community level to ensure that PwDs receive full welfare system benefits, thereby bringing positive change to their lives.
