Joseph Agyina

As a Teaching Assistant for the Department of Sociology and Social Work (KNUST) Joseph teaches and supervises university students’ theses and prepares lecture notes and conference speeches for his supervisors. Joseph's research focuses on women and gender issues in his community. During his fellowship in the United States, Joseph hopes to develop his leadership, communication and research skills, learn new community intervention strategies and gain hands-on experience with projects related to female empowerment. Upon returning home from his fellowship, Joseph plans to educate youth and women about the role of tolerance and transparency in nation-building, emphasizing the importance of women’s education as a tool for national development.
