As an Agronomist-Engineer for MOTAFF (Mouvman Tet Ansanm Fanm ak Fanm), Jean-Fritz Milien has experience using permaculture techniques to fertilize nutrient-deficient soil so that community members have a place to grow their food. For his follow-on project in Haiti, Jean-Fritz plans to make 50 permaculture gardens for 40 families through an educational process while continuing to help agriculturalists produce their food by accompanying them through a permaculture program to become independent in food and livestock production.

Jean-Fritz will be placed at Eco City Farms in Riverdale, MD to learn more permaculture techniques to produce more food on a reduced plot of land using compost and biologic seeds.
