Africa, Liberia, Transparency and Accountability, 2017

As an Executive Director for Consolidated Youth for Peace & Development, James leads programs that promote democratic governance, non-violence, and integrity through community outreach, public speaking, and mass media awareness. James is an expert in grassroots anti-corruption advocacy in an emerging democracy and has developed skills in policy advocacy, project management, and proposal development. During his fellowship in the United States, James hopes to learn more about youth democratic participation and civic responsibility in developed countries while also gaining skills in anti-corruption strategies, strategic communications, and building integrity in young people. Upon returning from the Community Solutions Program, James plans to work with local youth groups to promote attitudes that influence ethical behavior and enhance youth participation in activities that promote good governance.
