As a Researcher for Democracy Lab, Fortesa Asani has experience researching and supporting initiatives to develop digital tools and resources to empower citizens to actively participate in government via truth-based advocacy. Fortesa is placed at The GovLab in New York, NY, to support their implementation team of the multi-city challenge and to assist in projects that curb the negative impact of rapid increases in city populations. Upon returning to Macedonia, Fortesa plans to implement a project to increase active public participation in creating more open and participatory law-making practices.
