As a Law Lecturer and environmental justice advocate for the University of Namibia, Elize Shakalela has experience teaching environmental law and promoting sound environmental practices through advocacy. For her follow-on project in Namibia, Elize plans to produce a research paper on implementing effective environmental justice activities and raise awareness of the importance of international and national laws on environmental protection.

Elize will be placed at Western Environmental Law Center in Eugene, OR to advance environmental justice in affected communities.
