As a site coordinator, trainer and consultant with 14 years of experience, Edgar Simbeye works with men, women and youth on sexual reproductive health and rights, especially marginalized groups. He has been working at the Learning Centre Initiative for the past five years, helping communities discuss issues of sexuality. He focuses on working with young people who are affected with the HIV and AIDS pandemic. During the fellowship, Simbeye hopes to learn how to bring issues of marginalized communities to the forefront and learn new strategies for helping youth and women access information on sexual reproductive health and rights and services. Simbeye will focus on addressing the needs of the LGBT community and create a safe space for them to speak openly.
