Dritan Taulla is Co-Founder of three non-profits, and currently works as Deputy Chairperson for the KRIIK Albania Association. With nearly 18 years of experience in the civil society sector, his professional experience includes initiatives that raise civic awareness and encourage participation in decision-making processes, promote human rights, and monitor election processes both at the domestic and international level. While in the U.S., Taulla worked with the Vermont Workers’ Center towards a better understanding of the struggle for human rights in Vermont and how grassroots organization can be used to make elected officials accountable to their constituents. He was mainly involved with the People’s Media Project, producing a video on the Put People First Campaign and documenting various events and activities that took place during this time. Upon returning to Albania, he trained community members in election monitoring for the 2013 Parliamentary Elections and 2015 Local Elections, designed the monitoring methodology, and facilitated the monitoring process throughout the election seasons.
