Dipak Prasad Bashyal has more than seven years of community experience, particularly in social project development and management related to women’s rights, community peace building, and children’s rights. As the Resource Development Coordinator at the Centre for Victims of Torture Nepal (CVICT), Bashyal focuses on securing resources for the organization, including writing informed grant proposals based on community needs assessments and detailed stakeholder analyses. In addition to his resource development work, Bashyal also manages a project that aims to inform remote village communities about women’s rights issues. While in the U.S., Bashyal worked with the Asian/Pacific Islander Domestic Volence Resource Project in Washington, DC, where he learned innovative ways to combat gender-based violence and improved his skills as a social worker. Now returned from his fellowship, Bashyal is focusing his work on combatting sexual and gender-based violence in rural communities in Nepal. Email: palpalideepak@gmail.com
