As the Program Coordinator of the Bertha Foundation, Cinderella Alhomsi supports a global network of radical lawyers and human rights activists in the promotion of social justice and movement lawyering; oversees the implementation of fellowships and grant activities across 20 partners; and develops fellow-partner engagements, enabling alumni-fellow joint casework projects and input into the ongoing development of Bertha Justice Network. While in the U.S., Alhomsi worked with Women for Women International in Washington D.C., where she assisted the program design and development team in developing new-entry strategies, partnerships, conflict sensitive tools and curricula; updated Syria's portfolio and researched information on conflict analysis tools and guidelines to be incorporated in WfWI's standard community assessment process; and advised on activities with local partners to scale-out activities across the MENA region. Now in the United Kingdom, Alhomsi has focused her efforts on co-developing the first Arabic MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses) to improve the displaced and refugees' access to higher education so they can contribute to the well-being and prosperity of their host communities whether in Syria or the neighboring countries.
