As a Project Manager at Plan International Indonesia, Caecilia Putri Mumpuni manages the Early Childhood and Care Development Project in 177 remote villages around East Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia. Mumpuni has a background in community development and humanitarian aid programs and has previously developed training materials and creative media, such as modules, books, comics, and short movies, for advocacy projects. While in the U.S., Mumpuni worked with Eastside Promise Neighborhood Project in San Antonio, Texas, where she collaborated closely with United Way staff and partner organizations to review and revise curriculum for early childhood education centers, analyzed the barriers to education and parental involvement within the neighborhood projects, and participated in community and neighborhood events geared towards improving access to education. Upon her return to Indonesia, she supported parents in improving their children’s well-being and encouraged parents to become equal partners in child-rearing and advocate for the government to adapt and use the approach.
