Amrita Poudyal, Head of South Asia at ECPAT Luxembourg, directs programmatic strategy development in the region, ensuring evidence-based comprehensive programs and effective leadership for program management. With 17 years dedicated to addressing women and gender issues in South Asia, she focuses on combatting human trafficking, sexual exploitation, early and forced marriage, and online exploitation. In the U.S., Poudyal supported Bhutanese refugee community reintegration with Us Together in Cleveland, Ohio. She played a pivotal role in creating educational tools, facilitating community meetings, and collaborating with regional governments upon returning to Nepal. Currently managing South Asia Regional projects against Human Trafficking, supported by the US State Department, Poudyal remains unwavering in her commitment to combating human trafficking on a broader scale, emphasizing social justice and economic empowerment for survivors.
