Abd El Rahman Nagy has over 14 years of experience in the field of community development, focusing on education, vocational training, local capacity building, monitoring and evaluation, and impact assessment. As Director of one of the biggest randomization control trials at Silatech foundation and as Policy Manager with J-PAL, Nagy oversees a variety of community projects and impact assessments that aim to improve the livelihoods of those in need. While in the U.S. as a CSP Fellow, Nagy worked at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, collaborating with his hosts in women and gender issues and studying impact assessment and poverty alleviation. Now returned from the Community Solutions Program, Nagy is working to increase the effectiveness and the efficiency of development projects through the implementation of a number of impact assessments and experimental trails, in order to glean the best way of implementing projects.
