Purpose

The International Research & Exchanges Board (IREX) is seeking proposals from qualified organizations to provide technical assistance to Georgian media outlets on business development and innovation. The activities under this initiative will increase beneficiaries’ managerial, technological, business, and financial skills in order to: develop their business, products and services; expand in existing markets or enter new markets; become more competitive; improve their ability to attract and employ financial resources; and apply cutting-edge technological solutions.

Eligibility

Qualified applicants must demonstrate their ability to provide the following services:

• Conduct in-depth capacity assessments of media outlets’ financial, operational, production and distribution capacities, with recommendations for development
• Develop and implement capacity development strategies and plans, managing the process and tracking, measuring and reporting on the progress.
• Advise ways in which audience data can be used to drive content production, improve engagement and maximize revenue potential
• Mentor and support media operators as they experiment with and develop new ways of working, with an emphasis on income generation, audience engagement and viability
• Review proposals from media outlets for new business model innovations, provide feedback and mentor and monitor progress of grantees
• Reporting and monitoring of beneficiaries
• Contributing to strategic development of the USAID Media Program’s plans and activities.
