I. ABOUT IREX

II. SERVICES SUMMARY

IREX seeks a consultant to develop a comprehensive data governance framework that not only enhances data management practices but also fosters interdepartmental collaboration among HR, Finance, Compliance, New Business, and other key departments. The consultant will focus on creating clear data governance policies, procedures, and standards that support IREX's mission, facilitate efficient data utilization, and enhance departmental synergies.

III. SERVICES DETAIL

  • Assessment: Conduct a thorough review of current data management practices, with a focus on understanding the workflows, data needs, and collaboration patterns among HR, Finance, Compliance, New Business, Global Programs and other departments.
  • Framework Development: Design a data governance framework that aligns with IREX's operational needs and strategic objectives, emphasizing the facilitation of inter-departmental collaboration to ensure a unified approach to data management.
  • Policy Formulation: Develop comprehensive data governance policies and procedures that cater to the nuanced requirements of different departments while maintaining organizational coherence and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Integration: Advise on integrating data governance principles into existing departmental processes and systems.
  • Training and Capacity Building: Design and deliver tailored training programs specifically geared towards staff across geographically distributed teams. Emphasize virtual engagement techniques, the use of collaborative tools, and strategies to ensure understanding and adherence to the data governance framework in a remote working environment.

IV. KEY QUALIFICATIONS

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in data governance, with a proven track record of developing frameworks that enhance interdepartmental collaboration, alignment and efficiency organization-wide.
  • Demonstrated expertise in facilitating change management and fostering a culture of collaboration and data-informed decision-making within complex organizations.
  • Strong understanding of the specific data management challenges and opportunities within HR, Finance, Compliance, and New Business departments in a global nonprofit context.
  • Familiarity with USG funding mechanisms and requirements is a plus, enhancing the consultant's ability to align the data governance framework with USG compliance standards.
  • Experience in conducting training and capacity building across diverse teams and departments.
