Miriam works in the health sector as the Founder and CEO of Cuidamed. For caregivers, elderly people, and people with chronic illnesses who require an effective health information system in the event of a health emergency, Cuidamed is an assistive technology and support platform that consists of a bracelet or tag and an electronic record of the client’s medical history. The device contains critical information that can assist medical staff in an emergency. Miriam aims to launch this product to the right market in the short term and ultimately to develop a system that connects caregivers, patients, health personnel, and care support companies. Coming into the YLAI Fellowship, Miriam’s top business challenge is Finance. More specificaly, they want to obtain greater financial clarity. During the Fellowship Placement, Miriam hopes to gain knowledge and explore innovations within the health sector. They would like to receive guidance from industry experts, make new connections, and build their entrepreneurial and leadership skills.
