Jasmine Brown
Jasmine Brown is a program officer with Global Programs at IREX.
As program officer, Jasmine supports the Vice President of Global Programs and craft systems that help executive level management, practice leads, and program teams function cooperatively and effectively. In addition to administrative support, she coordinates projects that harmonize knowledge management, MEL standards processes, and like functions across the organization.
Previously, Jasmine served at Mercy Corps on the coordinating team for the VenEsperanza Consortium as its Reporting Coordinator. In this post, I managed record retention; conducted data review; and coordinated quarterly, annual, and semi-annual reporting efforts for the USAID-funded, multi-purpose cash assistance program. Additionally, as the first phase of operations closed, she helped craft the proposal for the $54.6 million, 2-year successor to its $93 million predecessor.
Jasmine is fortunate to have worked with on projects operating in Argentina, Colombia, Honduras, and Tanzania. Additionally, she supported international exchange programs at the United States Department of Commerce, working on Homeland Security issues in the United States House of Representatives in the office of Congressman Ruppersberger, and examining procurement processes and organizational incentives for the Canadian Department of National Defense.
Jasmine received a master of arts in international relations from the Johns Hopkins School for Advanced International Studies, and a bachelor of science in international business from the University of Maryland, College Park. In addition to being fluent in Spanish and Portuguese, she enjoys learning foreign languages, including French and German. She also serves as a volunteer mediator at the Conflict Resolution Center of Montgomery County, and practice aerial silks with the University of Maryland Gymkana Team.
