Hugo works in the Artificial Intelligence & Accessible Technology sector leading Talov. Hugo is a musician and software developer, leading a company that creates technology for people with disabilities by using AI and mobiles to improve their life quality and independence levels in daily tasks. Worldwide, 760 million people with disabilities, 470 million with hearing impairment and 290 million with blindness, face big challenges in everyday life, such as no access to education or work, which result in decreasing their independence. Talov tackles the problem with accessible technology. They developed two apps using AI and available in 48 languages. SpeakLiz is developed for people with hearing impairment, and it identifies surrounding sounds, transcribes human voices, and understands sign languages. Vision is for people with blindness, and it accesses maps navigation, identifies objects, estimates distances, identifies world banknotes, reads texts, and recognizes colors. Coming to the YLAI Fellowship, Hugo’s top business challenge is Scaling & Expansion.
