Evan is the program officer for the Reciprocal Exchanges component of the Mandela Washington Fellowship.

In this role, Evan provides vision and leadership for the Reciprocal Exchanges and the American Impact Award (AIA), including programmatic and logistical development and implementation, participant recruitment and engagement, budgetary oversight, and data management. Previously, he served as program coordinator for the Mandela Washington Fellowship, supporting administrative and logistical aspects of the Leadership in Business Institutes.

Before joining IREX, Evan interned with the U.S. Department of State, where he worked with the Africa Regional Media Hub to monitor coverage of the U.S. government in the pan-African media environment. As an undergraduate student, he studied abroad in Tours, France, and completed an internship with Agastya International Foundation in Kuppam, India.

Evan graduated from Davidson College with a degree in political science and a minor in French and Francophone studies.
