Darian Rice is the Monitoring, Evaluation, Research and Learning coordinator at the Center for Applied Learning and Impact. In this role, Darian supports collaboration and improvement of MERL across practices. Darian also assists in drafting research proposals and managing consultant work with CALI.

Prior to joining IREX, Darian specialized in long-term improvement efforts in K-12 education across the United States. Darian was an intern and later consultant at the Learning Policy Institute in Palo Alto, California, where he supported relationship-centered practices in schools statewide in advancement of youth-led research on racial justice initiatives. Darian also worked as a research associate at Marzano Research based in Denver, Colorado, where he supported trauma-engaged instruction in Alaska, digital learning in rural Wyoming, and Native American needs assessments in North Dakota.

Darian holds a B.A. in African & African American studies with a minor in human biology/health policy from Stanford University.
