Agnes Cazemiro is a program associate for the Young Leaders of the Americas Initiative (YLAI) Fellowship Program.

In this role, Agnes is committed to highlighting the Fellowship's impact across the United States by supporting the communications component. She helps to manage the Fellowship’s social media presence, and develops programmatic and editorial content. 

Before joining IREX, she contributed to various communications efforts, such as at the consumer advocacy non-profit Public Citizen, where she was responsible for writing and editing press releases, media advisories, blog posts and articles, among other responsibilities.

Agnes recently graduated from the University of Leeds with a bachelor of arts in international relations. At the University of Leeds, she represented international students as a member of the University of Leeds International Student Advisory Board, and the School of Politics and International Studies (POLIS) as a student ambassador. Agnes speaks fluent Portuguese and some Spanish.
