Seeking Applications for 2027 Young Leaders of the Americas Initiative City Partners
The Young Leaders of the Americas Initiative (YLAI) is seeking U.S.-based organizations with strong entrepreneurship, business, and innovation networks to serve as City Partners for the 2027 Fellowship.
Purpose
City Partners, formerly known as Cohort Ambassadors, will connect a cohort of entrepreneurs from Latin America and the Caribbean with U.S. businesses, industry leaders, and local professional networks. City Partners will identify and engage prospective U.S. Business Partners, support Participant placement efforts in coordination with IREX, and help Participants connect with their city’s economic, entrepreneurial, and industry landscape. The role offers an opportunity to strengthen local and international business networks, foster commercial partnerships, and build relationships that continue beyond the Fellowship.
Eligibility requirements
Organizations with strong connections to local businesses, industry leaders, entrepreneurship support organizations, universities, investors, and professional networks are encouraged to apply. Ideal City Partners are well-positioned to connect YLAI entrepreneurs with opportunities for business partnerships, commercial engagement, market access, and long-term collaboration. Potential applicants may include entrepreneurship support organizations, chambers of commerce and business associations, universities, economic development organizations, nonprofits, and private enterprises.
