Junyi Wang, deputy chief financial officer, leads the accounting function at IREX, overseeing accounting operations, auditing, internal assurance, financial reporting, and financial analysis. She plays a central role in strengthening IREX’s financial governance, compliance framework, and internal controls in a complex nonprofit environment. During her tenure, she has led and supported multiple organization‑wide initiatives, including implementation of various systems/modules, enhancement of internal controls and financial policies, implementation of compliance‑driven accounting practices, and preparation of board‑ and audit committee‑ready financial materials. She has also been instrumental in managing complex regulatory and audit matters, insurance recoveries, and multi‑entity financial reporting. 

Prior to joining IREX, Junyi worked on the accounting team of another nonprofit organization in the Washington, DC area, where she gained experience supporting mission‑driven organizations with diverse funding sources. 

Junyi holds a Master of Accountancy degree from The George Washington University and is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in Virginia. Before her education and professional experience in the United States, she earned her undergraduate degree in economics in Shanghai, China, where she also gained several years of experience in corporate finance, auditing, and marketing.
