As a volunteer social worker and counselor for Compasio Relief & Development, Watcharapon provides both direct and indirect services for abused women and children in migrant communities. Watcharapon is an expert in working with vulnerable women and children and has developed skills in psychosocial assessment, counseling, and crisis management. During her fellowship in the United States, Watcharapon hopes to learn how to bring changes to the attitudes and behaviors of perpetrators, while also developing her skills in conflict management, coaching, and effective communication. Upon returning from the Community Solutions Program, Watcharapon plans to establish a counseling center to address social issues such as domestic violence, child abuse, and human trafficking through counseling, training, and education services.
