Middle East & North Africa, Israel, Tolerance & Conflict Resolution, 2016

Tamar Rechnitz's six years of experience in project and budget management, content development, marketing and moderating, has boosted the educational projects she has led focusing on pluralism, racism and eastern Jewish music. During her fellowship in the United States, Rechnitz hopes to learn new ways of conflict mitigation and management among diverse populations, to explore different methods of educating towards complexity, and to develop her leadership skills and experience in managing people and complex projects. Upon returning from the Community Solutions Program, Rechnitz plans to initiate a program in which teachers will receive an intensive week of exposure to diverse populations in Israel to provide them with an emotional and intellectual experience that will encourage them to approach issues of racism in their classes.
