Swathi Massar serves as a technical advisor on organizational performance within IREX’s Center for Applied Learning and Impact, bringing more than ten years of experience working with civil society organizations in the former Soviet Union and the Middle East on governance, justice, and rights issues.
She oversees the US Department of State-funded Justice and Dignity for the Middle East and North Africa Initiative—a rapid-response mechanism designed to address immediate, rights-focused needs in the region. She also serves as the IREX team lead for providing technical assistance to the Syria Justice and Accountability Centre.
Swathi helped build the capacity of the BOTA Foundation based in Kazakhstan and supports IREX’s work in promoting the use of recovered assets for development. In the past, she has supported technology for development programs throughout the former Soviet Union and youth-led civil society development programs in Egypt and the Levant.
