As the founder, session facilitator and story creator of StoryWalks, a project founded over two years ago, Shahira Koudsi focuses on developing the social and emotional skills of children using elements of drama, storytelling and coaching. During her fellowship in the United States, Koudsi intends to increase her managerial skills and ability to set up a financially sustainable community project related to children. She also hopes to increase her knowledge and skills in working with children for social change. Upon returning from the Community Solutions Program, Koudsi plans to grow StoryWalks into a sustainable project that reaches a wider number of children and centers, impacting their social and emotional development.
