Sarah Kuruswo is a program officer for Alumni Engagement for the Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders.

In this role, Sarah is responsible for designing and implementing strategic engagement opportunities for the ever-growing network of over 5,000 Mandela Washington Fellowship alumni.

Prior to joining IREX, Sarah led the strategic engagements for The Africa Society of the National Summit on Africa.  She was instrumental in bringing onboard new cross-sectoral partners and expanding The Africa Society’s reach and impact.

Sarah studied international affairs at the Elliott School of International Affairs at George Washington University and has a diploma in IMIS from Strathmore College.

Sarah is a board member of Jitokeze Wamama Wafrika.
