Sarah Boeving is deputy project director for the Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders.
Prior to joining IREX, Sarah served as the director of international programs at the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University. She provided strategic leadership for a significant expansion of the office’s global programming, including developing and implementing new academic and global internship programs and partnerships.
Previously, Sarah worked for five years at the Institute of International Education in the Europe and Africa/Near East divisions, where she oversaw Fulbright student and professional development programs and managed the Fulbright International Science and Technology Global Program. Sarah began her career at Columbia University supporting educational research projects funded by UNICEF and the Carnegie Foundation, and later served as a legislative aid in the US House of Representatives.
Sarah received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Arkansas and a master’s degree from Columbia University with a focus on international higher education development.
