Nzani Kassim Zani
N'zani Kassim Zani has four years’ experience in various fields of grassroots activism, especially human rights and social justice. She is also the founder and director of The Hijabi Mentorship Program, an initiative aimed at creating a transformative social change through the power of communication and information. N’zani, a final year journalism student at the United States International University-Africa in Kenya is using her journalistic skills to advocate for sex education, gender-based violence, violent extremism, and social entrepreneurship through her mentorship program and her YouTube channel called The Hijabi Journalist Show. Upon completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship, N'zani plans to continue advocating for human rights by implementing what she learns to prepare her to join political leadership in Kenya’s next general election.
