Mehri Druckman leads strategic program development, oversees IREX Ukraine office operations, and provides senior managerial support to staff implementing the IREX Ukraine program portfolio.

Mehri is a media literacy and training development expert who combines deep knowledge of anti-propaganda programming, effective media support, tech4development, and community engagement with field-tested training methodologies.  With more than 13 years' experience as an international development professional, she currently oversees a portfolio of programs that promote public diplomacy, increase social cohesion through conflict prevention, and support reform efforts. 

Mehri previously served as Global Technology Advisor for IREX's Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation-funded Beyond Access project, helping build capacity of public libraries to deliver efficient services that meet local community needs.  In 2015, she designed and managed the innovative Learn to Discern project, a citizen media literacy initiative that reached over 15,000 Ukrainians, which has since been featured in The New York TimesThe Washington PostThe Christian Science Monitor, The Wilson QuarterlyWorld Economic Forum's Global AgendaProject SyndicateColumbia Journalism Review, and in reports by the Center for European Policy Analysis and Legatum Institute.Mehri has worked in Ukraine since 2011.  A skilled facilitator and trainer familiar with operations in fast-changing country environments, Mehri plays a leadership role in IREX's global efforts to build resilience against mis- and disinformation and to apply global ICT and new media for individual and organizational capacity building, community development, public access to information, and citizen engagement.
