As Program Coordinator for Youth Participation in Peace and Development-Sierra Leone, Martin George has over three years of experience working on youth education, community mediation, youth and disadvantaged groups’ empowerment, substance abuse and support programs. During his fellowship in the US, Martin George hopes to explore gender issues and civic rights within conflict resolution.

After completing the Community Solutions Program, Martin plans to engage and advocate with local community structures, state and non-state actors to respect, enforce and guarantee the inherited/acquired property ownership rights of women, thereby promoting and enhancing their socio-economic rights and status in communities.
