Kelsey Anderson is as a program officer for Fulbright Teacher Exchanges.

In this role, she supports the planning and implementation of international field experiences, online learning programs, and alumni small grant opportunities for K–12 educators from across the U.S. Though this work, Kelsey is committed to increasing understanding of global competence in U.S. educators and their students.

Prior to joining IREX, Kelsey served as a Peace Corps volunteer in rural Armenia. She taught English to grades 3–12 and conducted pedagogical trainings for local English teachers. In partnership with the Children of Armenia Fund, Kelsey also contributed to the U.S. Embassy’s English Access Microscholarship Program, providing teenagers from economically disadvantaged communities with high-quality, immersive English-language instruction.

Kelsey then worked with AFS Intercultural Programs to implement Department of State–funded exchange programs, annually coordinating the placement of over 200 high school exchange students from around the world. Most recently, Kelsey was the manager of strategy, talent, and operations at Teach for America. She supported the organization’s national finance team in professional learning opportunities and event coordination, specifically engaging with topics of diversity, equity, and inclusion education.

Kelsey holds a bachelor of science in English and secondary education from Towson University.
